If you are in the City Hall or Bugis area and are pondering what to have for lunch, you can hop down to a cafe at North Bridge Road just opposite the National Library named Food For Thought. 

Entering the cafe you can smell the aroma of the hearty sandwiches and salads prepared in the cafe. There is a pretty huge variety in their menu and you can mix and match your set orders as well. 

The most popular order is the Slow Roast Pulled Pork Sandwich which is a South American barbequed dish.  The Basil Pesto Chicken is another sandwich to try and they make their own bread at the cafe every morning. 

They serve soups as well and do try out their daily house specials. For salads, the item to try is the Smoked Duck salad.

Have the Lychee Sage Freeze to go with your meal,  a drink that is really refreshing.   Share your dessert and the one i had was the Brownie Cup, an all in one combination of expresso coffee, soft brownies and marshmallows baked in a coffee mug.    It is a wonderful place to have some real home cooked meal.
